After their excellent win against Tunisia last time out , Australia know that a win against Denmark puts them into the round of 16 of the World Cup for the second time in their history .
Graham Arnold has received a lot of criticism for his team’s way of playing, but they fully committed themselves against Tunisia and always carried the threat on the counter-attack.
They will need to put on a very similar display against the talented Danes, but one point could well be enough as Tunisia would have to beat France in the other Group D match to further complicate matters for Australia and Denmark.
As for the Denmark team, they have had a very poor tournament so far. They were woeful in attack against Tunisia in a draw in the first game, while they were beaten by France and Kasper Hjulmand just hasn’t managed to get his team to attack.
Christian Eriksen and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are trying to boost Denmark from midfield, but they don’t look dangerous at the moment . For a possible move to the next stage they have to win against Australia and then hope that Tunisia does not beat France and it comes down to goal difference.
